BacklinksIndexer alternative, tested on itself: five experiments, 49,219 backlinks, one null result
BacklinksIndexer has sold link indexing since 2011, with homepage plans from $27 a month. It builds links to your links; its public pages describe no tool for seeing what a crawler finds afterwards. We ran our index against backlinksindexer.com itself and wrote down every number.
Our index holds 49,219 backlinks to backlinksindexer.com from 158 referring domains, at a Domain Rating of 30 on our own scale. 49,003 of those links are dofollow. The profile is narrow: about 311 links per donor, an average donor DR of 12, no .gov or .edu sources, and more than 99.7% of links aimed at the homepage. One site, galactika.info, supplies 15,827 links across 6,440 pages, all anchored “index backlink”.
The anchor table splits three ways. On-topic text and bare URLs make up roughly half. Eight Turkish betting terms — “restbet” and two variants, “starzbet”, “jojobet”, “bets10”, “holiganbet”, “casibom” — make up 45.2%; the 61 top-100 donors that carry “restbet” or “starzbet” as their main anchor were all first seen between 2026-03-16 and 2026-07-10. The part that is recognisably about the product is small: 101 links from 91 warriorforum.com pages, 33 from moz.com, and 45 from the tool vendor nohandsseo.com with anchors such as “BacklinksIndexer members area”.

Entry 0 — the subject is backlinksindexer.com, the apparatus is three API actions
Our screenshot of the homepage, taken on 2026-10-08, shows a blue member counter that reads 128,514, labelled “Current Happy Members”. Under it a line in bold blue says the service has been trusted since 2011. Above it sits the headline: backlinks made 100x more powerful, the 100x set in red on a yellow brush stroke.
That is the subject: BacklinksIndexer takes a list of URLs — forum profiles, Web 2.0 posts — pings them, then builds tiered links to them so that Google crawls and indexes them. It has done this since 2011. Its homepage plans cost $27, $57 and $97 a month.
The apparatus, apibacklinks, does a different job: it is a link-data API over 181,132,097 domains, built from Common Crawl. It indexes nothing and builds nothing; set beside a service that does both, it can only report what a crawl saw. So this page is not a like-for-like test of two indexers. It is a notebook: five experiments on backlinksindexer.com itself, using overview, refdomains and anchors, plus a few filtered backlinks calls. The first experiment needs no key; you can repeat it in the explorer.
Experiment 1 — how many sites link to an indexer that has run since 2011?
Question. Fifteen years of selling indexing to link builders. How much of the public web links back?
Method. One free call: action=overview&q=backlinksindexer.com.
| Reading | Value |
|---|---|
| Domain Rating (our scale) | 30 |
| Referring domains | 158 |
| Backlinks | 49,219 |
| Dofollow / nofollow | 49,003 / 216 (99.56% dofollow) |
| Average donor DR | 12 |
| .gov or .edu donors | 0 |
| Referring TLDs | 30 |
Reading. The 30 for backlinksindexer.com is our own 0–100 logarithmic score, computed from referring-domain counts in our graph. It is not Ahrefs DR and not Moz DA; those tools will show other figures for backlinksindexer.com. Our crawls saw links to this domain from 2024-07-12 to 2026-09-09. That is the window of the data, not the age of a site registered in January 2011.
The figure to carry forward is a ratio. 49,219 links from 158 domains is about 311 links per donor: few sites, each linking many times.
Experiment 2 — who holds the 49,219 links?
Question. Is the 311-per-donor average spread evenly, or held by a handful of sites?
Method. action=refdomains on backlinksindexer.com, ranked by link count.
| Donor | Links | Pages | Main anchor | Donor DR |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| galactika.info | 15,827 | 6,440 | index backlink | 21 |
| prace-z-domu.com | 6,633 | 2,578 | bare URL | 18 |
| myfirstpicturebook.com | 5,196 | 1,724 | restbet | 4 |
| yeow.ong | 4,173 | 1,165 | restbet | 7 |
| rimoalkatresz.hu | 2,838 | 1,647 | bare URL | 0 |
Reading. Five donors hold 34,667 links, 70.4% of the profile. galactika.info alone holds 32.2%: one anchor, “index backlink”, repeated across 6,440 pages, first seen on 2024-07-13 and last seen on 2026-09-08. That reads as a sitewide-style placement, not 15,827 separate editorial choices. More than 99.7% of all links point at the homepage.
The top 100 donors are bottom-heavy by DR: 69 sit at 0–14, 27 at 15–29, one at 30–49, two at 50–69 and one above 70.
Two of the five have no visible tie to SEO tooling. rimoalkatresz.hu is, by its site profile, a Hungarian gear manufacturer; the source pages we sampled among its 2,838 links are uncategorised posts with casino-themed slugs. prace-z-domu.com has Czech-language job-listing and tag-page URLs; its 6,633 links sit on 2,578 pages, with the bare URL as the main anchor. Why either site links to an indexing service, the data does not say.
Experiment 3 — which words point at backlinksindexer.com?
Question. A backlink-indexing brand should be linked with words about indexing. Is it?
Method. action=anchors, top 25, each with its share of the 49,219 links.
- “index backlink” — 16,128 links, 32.77%. On topic. Nearly all of it is galactika.info.
- The bare URL — 8,275 links, 16.81%.
- Eight Turkish betting anchors — “restbet” (7,085), “restbete giriş” (5,070), “restbet güncel giriş” (5,070), then “starzbet”, “jojobet”, “bets10”, “holiganbet” and “casibom” at 1,001 each. Together: 22,230 links, 45.2%.
- Brand-name anchors — “BacklinksIndexer.com” (178), “BacklinksIndexer” (106) and smaller variants. Under 1% combined.
Reading. Nearly half of the anchor text aimed at an indexing service names betting brands, and the timing is narrow. Among the top 100 donors, 61 carry “restbet” or “starzbet” as their main anchor, and every one of those 61 was first seen between 2026-03-16 and 2026-07-10, most of them on 16–17 March. Judging by their URLs, the donors have no visible tie to SEO tooling: a picture-book site, Italian product-detail pages on fokai.tv, casadamanicuredesign.com.br, ten .com.tr domains that all sit at DR 24.
What the notebook records: these links exist, they target the homepage, and since the whole profile contains only 216 nofollow links, almost all of them are dofollow. What it does not record: who placed them, or why. Nothing in the data says BacklinksIndexer did.
Experiment 4 — isolating the links that are about BacklinksIndexer
Question. Set aside the sitewide anchor and the betting terms. What remains that is plainly about the product?
Method. Read the refdomains list past the top ten, then filter backlinks by source domain.
- warriorforum.com — 101 links from 91 pages, anchor “BacklinksIndexer”, donor DR 52, seen from 2024-07-13 to 2026-09-09.
- moz.com — 33 links from 18 pages, bare-URL anchor, donor DR 64, last seen 2026-08-17.
- nohandsseo.com — 45 links from 11 pages, donor DR 23, anchors “BacklinksIndexer members area” and “API Key”.
Reading. This is the recognisable brand footprint, and it is small: 179 links out of 49,219. It is also specific: ninety-one separate Warrior Forum pages suggest a product discussed across many threads, not in one. Only 13% of the plain “BacklinksIndexer” anchors are dofollow, which is how forum mentions usually look.
The nohandsseo.com anchors read like instructions: a tool vendor showing its users where to copy their BacklinksIndexer key. That fits the homepage, which names SEnuke, GSA Search Engine Ranker, Magic Submitter and SocialMonkee as integrated tools. A service that dates from 2011 and is wired into other people's software leaves this kind of trace: few links, practical anchors.
Experiment 5 — can an outside index see the boosting layer? A null result the vendor predicts
Question. BacklinksIndexer builds links to its customers' links. Can a third-party index see that second tier?
Method. None needed. The vendor answers on its own how-it-works page, under a question about why the built backlinks do not show up. Many sites in its partner network, it says, have
disabled the ability for outside scrapers to find their URLs
while search engines can still reach them. The FAQ adds that sample network domains are not released to the public.
Reading. Expect a null result for BacklinksIndexer's second tier, and treat it as designed. No outside link index, ours included, should be expected to list the boosting layer; Common Crawl's bot is an outside crawler like any other.
What an outside index can measure is tier 1: the forum profile or blog post you submitted. Was that page crawled? Does it still carry the link? With which anchor, and is it nofollow? Nothing in BacklinksIndexer's public documentation answers those. Its report endpoint returns the URLs you submitted and their dates, as XML or CSV. Its advice for checking indexing is manual: search Google for the URL, or run an info: or site: query.
One caution on our side: presence in our index means a Common Crawl run fetched the page. That is not Google's index, and a tier-1 URL missing from ours may still be in Google's. Use it as a second, independent crawl, not as a verdict on a BacklinksIndexer campaign.
Control — the jobs where BacklinksIndexer is the right instrument
A link-data API cannot do what the five experiments were circling. Stay with BacklinksIndexer if these lines describe your work.
- You need pages indexed in volume, on a schedule. The plans are sized for that: 3,000 URLs a month for $27 (100 a day), 7,500 for $57 (250 a day), 15,000 for $97 (500 a day). By our arithmetic that is $0.0090, $0.0076 and about $0.0065 per URL.
- You run automated campaigns. The submission API accepts a key and a list of URLs by GET or POST. A free WordPress plugin, BLI Submitter, sends new blog posts with the same key.
- You want links built to your links, not only a ping. The standard queue is drip-fed; every plan lists wiki links, Web 2.0 links, social signals and RSS aggregators. A separate Power Booster, run on credits, is aimed at stubborn URLs that need speed; the price of extra credits is not published.
- You are done once Google has the page. The FAQ says links that were indexed stay indexed after you cancel.
Read BacklinksIndexer's terms before the first charge. The homepage advertises a 30-day money-back guarantee; the terms of service attach a results condition to it and give renewals a one-day refund window.
apibacklinks does none of this work; for the indexing job itself there is our sister service IndexJump, and the indexer hub covers the other services in BacklinksIndexer's category.
Protocol — the same five entries for a batch you send through BacklinksIndexer
The five experiments transfer to your own links. Here is a hypothetical run for a batch of 3,000 tier-1 URLs on the Advanced plan.
- Before submitting. Collect the host domains of the 3,000 URLs and send them to
bulk_dr, up to 2,000 domains per request, so two requests at most. Decide which hosts deserve a slot in a 100-a-day quota. - Submit. Let BacklinksIndexer drip the batch. At 100 URLs a day, 3,000 take the month.
- Wait. Our index refreshes roughly monthly, as Common Crawl releases are processed. A link from week one of the drip can take weeks to appear: a month-end check, not a next-morning one.
- Measure tier 1. Call
backlinkson the site the 3,000 URLs point to, filtered by source domain or date range. Each call returns up to 1,000 rows with source URL, anchor, rel, link type and last-seen date. - Read the anchors. Call
anchorson your own domain and repeat Experiment 3. An anchor you never planned for, like the 45.2% found on backlinksindexer.com, shows up in that table first.
Cost of repeating this notebook with a key. The overview call is free. One refdomains call, one anchors call and four filtered backlinks calls are list calls at 2 credits each: 12 credits, or $0.0012 at $0.0001 per credit. That figure does not compare with BacklinksIndexer's $0.0090 per URL: one price buys a URL processed, the other a data call. Parameter names for the filters are in the API docs.
Error bars — what this notebook cannot say about BacklinksIndexer
Three limits apply to every backlinksindexer.com number above.
- Sample, not census. Our index comes from 13 Common Crawl crawls, a smaller and less fresh sample than the proprietary crawlers of Ahrefs, Majestic or Semrush. The 158 referring domains are the ones Common Crawl reached; backlinksindexer.com may well have more.
- No history, no toxicity score. The API has no historical charts and no toxic-link metric. The March 2026 dates in Experiment 3 are first-seen dates on single donors, not a trend line, and judging those 22,230 links is left to the reader.
- Nothing about delivery. None of this measures whether BacklinksIndexer gets a submitted URL into Google. The only success figures we found sit in case studies hosted on its own site, undated or several years old. A current index rate is not published.
Margin note, outside the index. On 2026-10-08 the homepage returned the English sales page to a normal browser. The same URL, requested with a Googlebot or Bingbot user agent, returned a different, Japanese-language shop page, and the sitemap listed the homepage plus 1,000 URLs made of ?k= and a long number. We record it because a notebook records what it sees. We did not investigate the cause and draw no conclusion from it. It is an observation about the public website on one day, not about the service's queue, billing or customer data.
Notebook closed: BacklinksIndexer for getting the 3,000 URLs indexed, an outside crawl for checking what became of them.
