A Guest Post Geek alternative, or at least a second opinion, before you pay
Guest Post Geek publishes a single price, $5, on a page last edited in 2013, and third-party sites list the same domain from $13.62 to $80. This letter reads its 62 backlinks and shows how to check a placement yourself.
Our index lists 27 referring domains and 62 backlinks for guestpostgeek.com, 40 of them dofollow (64.5%), giving it a DR of 20 on our own scale. By donor strength it is a low-to-middle profile: 10 referring domains sit at DR 0-14, 13 at 15-29, 3 at 30-49, and only one reaches 50-69. None are .gov or .edu. Sixteen of the domains are .com, and the rest are spread across .online, .ke, .info, .shop, .ly, .lv and .fr.
The anchors are the interesting part. Of 21 distinct anchors, the top ones are article titles ("5 Reasons to Use Reusable Swim Diapers", 8 links) and keywords ("lmrc recruitment 2020", 7), not the brand. A few off-topic ones appear once, such as two bitcoin-question anchors seen only on 2024-07-14 from DR 0 and DR 4 domains. That profile is small and noisy, which suggests the links mostly point at individual articles rather than the brand. Note that our first-seen date of 2024-07-12 reflects our crawl window, not the site's age. Open the full report to see every row.

Dear founder,
Before you email a Gmail address about a guest post, read the one number Guest Post Geek publishes. On its guest-post page, the site says a post on guestpostgeek.com itself costs a small administration fee of $5. That page is dated 2013-07-12, and the site's own WordPress API shows it has not been edited since. Everything else the brand sells (outreach to third-party blogs, content writing, data entry) carries no price at all, only an invitation to send a price inquiry by email or Skype.
I am writing because the gap between a 2013 sentence and a 2026 invoice is where your money gets decided. I am not trying to talk you out of the purchase. Buying a placement is ordinary SEO work, and this seller may be exactly right for you. But you should sign knowing what is published, what is not, and what a crawl of the public web can tell you before and after. Everything below was checked on 2026-10-09.
Who is on the other end of the email
The about page introduces one person, Sachin Gupta, who says clients and friends call him a Guest Post Geek. He describes himself as a full-time blogger and content writer and mentions a team of professionals. No company name, registration, headquarters or team size appears anywhere on the site, and no founding year is stated.
The domain was registered on 2012-08-26 through NameCheap, and the oldest pages and posts date from that August and September. So "online since 2012" is supportable, while "founded in 2012" is not something the brand itself claims. The site runs on WordPress, hosted at WPX, and the nav bar holds exactly two items: Services We Provide and Contact Us.
That matters for how you read the rest of this letter. When a seller publishes no inventory, no turnaround and no policy, every answer arrives by email, and the value of the purchase depends on what you get in writing. The services page also says outreach starts from your niche and budget, so the blogs you receive are chosen per order and cannot be browsed in advance. Nothing here suggests bad faith. It does mean the checks in the last section carry more weight than they would with a marketplace that lists its sites.
There is no order form, no buyer dashboard, no sample portfolio, no client list and no refund or replacement policy on the site. That is not a scandal. It describes a one-person, email-and-Skype workflow, and you should buy it as that.
1,143 posts about everything, and a pulse that has slowed
Open the homepage and the first thing you see is not a sales pitch. It is a magazine-style blog: a hero story about car accessories for an older vehicle, three truck-and-gearbox tiles on the right, a ticker of trending titles, and a health story as the newest item. The tagline promising a high-class guest post service at the lowest price is in the page title, not on the screen. The site sells by being a blog that obviously publishes guest posts.
The WordPress REST API gives the archive a precise shape: 1,143 published posts. Technology and Business & Finance hold 246 each, Health 136, Home & Family 112 and Travel 86. Publishing peaked in 2020 with 282 posts, after 198 in 2018 and 177 in 2021. Then it fell: 79 in 2022, 44 in 2023, 36 in 2024, just 4 in 2025 and 8 so far in 2026. The newest post is from 2026-09-18.
For a buyer, three things follow. A general-interest blog suits general-interest content, so a tight niche brief will sit beside unrelated neighbours. Fresh placements will land on a site that publishes a few posts a year, not a few a week. And the services page says the writers can cover casino, gambling and adult topics, while the guidelines for posts on the site itself exclude adult content. Ask which rule applies to your piece before you pay.
One domain, three prices: $5, from $13.62, and $80
The most useful thing I found was not on the brand's site. A post on guestpostgeek.com is listed in three places at three prices, and I cannot tell from public pages whether the second and third are authorised by the seller.
| Where | Price for a post on this site | Notes |
|---|---|---|
| The brand's own guest-post page | $5 | Page dated 2013, unmodified since; may be stale |
| gpsiteslist.org directory | indicative rates from $13.62 (general); $29.88 for CBD or casino | Labelled self-reported, taken from a partner catalogue |
| qualityguestpost.com shop | $80.00 | Reseller lists delivery as one week |
The metrics next to those prices disagree too. The reseller shows a Moz Domain Authority of 53 beside an Ahrefs Domain Rating of 7 and traffic of zero. The directory shows a Domain Rating of 1.5 beside the same DA 53. The brand's own pitch is placement on "DA 30+" blogs. These are three different yardsticks, and none is ours. In our index guestpostgeek.com has a DR of 20, our own metric, which is comparable in spirit to the others but not the same number. The lesson is practical: never buy on a single score, and never accept a score you cannot reproduce.
What the crawl sees: links that point at articles, not at the brand
Run the domain through the free explorer and the shape is distinctive. The most-linked page is not the homepage. A 2020 job-notice post titled around "LMRC Recruitment 2020" collects 9 backlinks, a swim-diaper article collects 8, and the homepage 8. The top two anchors, 8 and 7 links, are the titles of hosted articles. Brand-style anchors ("Guest Post Geek", "guestpostgeek.com", "guestpostgeek") add up to 13 of 62 links.
The biggest single referrer is moivrons.com, a DR 11 domain with 8 dofollow links across 3 pages, and all 8 swim-diaper links come from it. Next is techwebspace.com (DR 28), which links 8 times from one page, every link nofollow, mostly with the anchor "guest posting service". The only dofollow version of that phrase in the index comes from getnews360.com (DR 33). So the one commercial phrase the brand is linked for rests on two domains.
One cross-check is encouraging. gpsiteslist.org, the directory listing above, appears as a referring domain with 2 nofollow links first seen on 2026-09-05. A link created around late summer 2026 was already visible in our crawl data within weeks. That is the timing you should expect when you verify a purchased placement, with the caveat that our index is refreshed roughly monthly and is not real-time.
Where Guest Post Geek is the better choice
Fairness matters here, so here is the honest case for the seller.
- You want a human to do the job. The brand writes a 500-word-plus article around your keywords, places it and accepts articles you supply. apibacklinks does none of that: we do not build, sell or place links.
- Your budget is small. If the $5 fee for a post on the site is still honoured, it is hard to beat, and the directory figure of $13.62 is also low. Ask before assuming either.
- You value a long track record. A domain that has existed since 2012 and carries 1,143 posts is not a throwaway site made last month.
- You need flexibility. The brand says it looks for sites by niche and budget, and a person on email can negotiate in ways a price list cannot.
- You are buying one or two posts. At that scale, building any tooling around the purchase is overkill.
If that describes you, stay with Guest Post Geek and use our data only for a quick sanity check. You do not need an API to place a single post.
The email to send, and the checks to run on either side of it
Treat the first email as a questionnaire. These are all absent from the public pages, so they are fair questions:
- Which blogs are in the outreach inventory, and may you see the list before paying?
- Is the link dofollow, nofollow or sponsored, and is that written in the order?
- How long does the post stay live, and what happens if it is removed?
- What is the turnaround, and what do you receive as proof?
- Is the $5 fee current, and which prices on resellers are yours?
Then do the checks yourself. Before you pay, look up each proposed donor: the domain action is free and needs no key, and a list call such as refdomains costs two credits, or $0.0002. After the post goes live, wait a few weeks, then query backlinks on your own domain filtered by source domain and minimum donor DR, and see whether the link appears with the anchor and follow status you were promised. The full parameter list is in the API documentation. The first Google sign-in gets $100 of free credit with no card, so this audit costs effectively nothing at placement scale.
There are limits. We have no new-or-lost-links alerts, no monitoring and no toxicity score, so you must repeat the check yourself. If you are comparing several placement sellers, our link-building tools hub and the UAE Guide alternative page cover related placement sellers.
Yours sincerely, and without a commission on whatever you decide,
